| Has a soccer ball ever hit you in the face? | | A very embarrassing and somewhat frustrating thing that can happen yes. Once, back when I was in middle school my dad took me to the park to practice my head butts with the soccer ball. It was a sunny clear day, and he was drop kicking the ball high up, goalie style. One particularly kick I remember, I couldn't see the ball because the sun was in my eyes. I was squinting with my hand trying to shade my view. But, before I knew it was too late. The ball came full force and hit me in the nose. I remember it hurt so bad! my nose didn't bleed but it certainly made my eyes water. has that ever happened to you? | |

| My cats went berserk this morning! | | I got up this morning to find several things knocked off the kitchen counter...one of which was a box of foil wrapped chocolate cherries that had scattered everywhere in the fall. One of the cherries was clear on the other side of the room, obviously having been used as a soccer ball at some point in the disturbance. We had given them a piece of tissue wrapping paper to play with; that had been torn in half and one half was inside and the other half was out in the garage. One of the plants had been relieved of three of its leaves (that I found), and there were three balls off of the tree (the only three low enough for them to reach) and a bow off of a present.Has this sort of thing ever happened to you?[em]lol[/em] | |
| | I can taste it already | | This is an updated photo of one of my watermelons I have gfrowing. Just a couple weeks ago it was the size of the tennis ball. Now, as you can see, it is about the size of a soccer ball. I can taste it already and so eager to cut it and eat it. But the wife says wait another week. I thumped it and get the hollow sound of a ripe watermelon. I would guess this is about 3 or 4 pounds in weight. Have you ever grown something and when it gets large you can't wait to pick and eat it?

Mine:I was always a natural soccer player (American Soccer/Footie), but I never really enjoyed playing so I took 8 seasons off and figured I would probably never play again.Well, I decided to play again, because it was my last year of eligibility to play. I tried out and ended up making the Gold Team (Gold was the prestige team, Silver was next, than Bronze, and then House and Midget were the lowest ranks). It was a very big deal to be a "Gold" player, where I came from. It was where all serious soccer players enspired to be. A lot of people were actually annoyed with me because I made the team after 8 years of not even touching a soccer ball, while they had played their whole lives.Either way, our team had a very successful season and were off to a great start in the Playoffs. In order though, to make the Championship game, we had to either tie or defeat our last opponent. Very, very early in the game,... | |
